A new revolver maker enters... Henry

My guess is that these will be a flop commercially. The revolver market is already limited and filled with some really good products. However, a limited run of Henry pistols could lead to there being some collectors value down the road, especially if well made.

I agree. “Big Boy” was a burger. Sorry, but every time I see or hear “big boy” I get a craving for burgers and fries.

Lol, for sure. Maybe if this thing takes off they'll come out with a Lipsys or Davidsons version, 5 inch barrel, adjustable sights, 5 shot 44 Special. And of course, unfluted cylinder with laser engraved Big Boys around it.

You can bet your hind end I'll be on that waiting list...probably @Mark_Mark too

I had a chance to buy one but watched a few reviews first.

No holsters, can't get it out of a pocket, light strikes, heavy trigger, tumbling bullets. Yikes

IIRC the first version was .25 acp. That was the only interest I had in it. Unless I'm confusing it with something else.

Something sleek and classy, perhaps a 3 inch barrel, with traditional looks but modern touches, would have been a hit. Something along the lines of the Ruger Security series.

Other than being outclassed by other durable brands, an exposed ejector rod is only a bump away from becoming a bent ejector rod, very poor design IMO. :)
OK… Gorilla in the china shop here. But it would take a lot of SMASHING to bend that ejector. Anywho, Henryhas a good warranty + customer service, and Made in America or Not at All! <<< Love you Henry

NEF/Lightening/RG. That's all I see.

I wonder how long that ZAMAK grip frame and trigger guard will hold up for?

Brass plated Zinc? Supposition or from a reliable source?

This is from the Henry website:
Borrowing design cues from its long gun brethren, the Big Boy Revolver touts highly polished blued steel throughout the medium-sized frame, quick-release cylinder, and 4” barrel. In addition, genuine American walnut grip panels are affixed to both sides of a mirror-like brass trigger guard that’s visible around the grip to the top of the backstrap.

It was pure speculation. That or brass, which I think would be a poor frame material for a 357 magnum revolver. I know the rimfire lever rifles are some type of alloy (both blued and brass) that is silver colored when you scratch the finish off. It is ZAMAK 5 for the lever guns.

WOW! Sales Rep has the energy of a turtle

He is an engineer, not a performer.

It appears the frame is steel, not brass. The trigger guard/grip frame is brass. I would not worry about 357 ammo with a steel frame.

Still not interested in buying one, but it does appear to be to be fairly well designed. The interchangeable front sights and the quick release cylinder are plusses in my book.

I don’t think he’s much of either if someone gives you a blank slate and that’s the design….he can’t design or sell.
