A new revolver maker enters... Henry

No matter how hard I look, I see NEF all over that thing. I’m not saying that as a bad thing, but it’s not necessarily a compliment either. ...

AND… gutter sights zaps my interest. Adjustable sights on a long barreled 357 would get my attention. Currently the best of those come from Brazil and have a huge barrel shroud.

Gutter sights? Aw, hell, no. Those type sights are the only reason I don't currently have a 3" revolver that retails for half as much as SRP for this.

Thanks for posting that video @JCooperfan1911

That quick release cylinder is darn cool! It appeared he pulled forward on the ejector rod to release it. Also, I like that it has 3 different front sights.

If the shop price is actually a couple of hundred lower I might consider one. I will just have to not look at the goofy barrel cutout over the ejector rod so much. ;)

I think the black nub inside the trigger guard that was mentioned earlier is the release for the cylinder crane. I'll keep an eye out for one and try to get hands on before I let emotions and assumptions form my opinions. At a minimum more competition is generally good for the consumer.

I usually listen to fox sports radio when around shop or shooting. Today was first time Anthony is touting Henry arms with a quick 15 second commercial. Played probably 4 or 5 times I heard just this am.

Not toting any in particular just saying American made.

That would actually make more sense. I had forgotten about that little nub in the trigger guard. Thanks.

It actually looks better in the video.

Still would have preferred that they tapered the barrel for the ejection rod instead of the flat milled under the barrel but it's got a sort of charm
thought the same thing, looks great in video. When is this guys coming out?

I find the revolver to be awkward looking around the back of the frame. And the brass seems to be an affectation to justify the price, kind of Charter Arms classy. But, honestly, the barrel cut out immediately made me think of the Colt Lawman, and made me like it better.

The lack of adjustable sights is a big detraction for me. And yes, like a lot of you said, it looks like a Rohm. I can't get past that part, with that high of a price.
In the video it looks to have a good, polished blued finish on the steel. In the original pics in this thread, it could have had cerakote on it, I couldn't tell.
Probably be $700 something when it hits the market.
My Gp100 would look like a Korth laying next to it.

Looking forward to seeing actual shooting reports on it. Personally, I think a blued grip frame would look better, but can understand their thinking in tying it to their polished brass. Minor quibble, the name "big boy" to me implies that it should be a .44 or .45.

OK… Gorilla in the china shop here. But it would take a lot of SMASHING to bend that ejector. Anywho, Henryhas a good warranty + customer service, and Made in America or Not at All! <<< Love you Henry

Not as much smashing as one might think, an accidental drop/bump can bend a rod to the point it won't eject spent casings...there's a reason why Colt, Smith & Wesson and Ruger have enclosed ejector rods on their 4" magnums...exposed ejector rods are simply a way of keeping production costs down. :)
