I am looking for an accurate, descent capacity (no less then 10) semi-auto rifle in .308 caliber. There doesn't seem to be too many around. Here are what I pretty much narrowed my selection to:
1) PTR-91 (or another G-3 clone)
2) Vepr-1 or Vepr 2 308.
3) ROMAC rifle
4) Yugo M72 Sniper
5) Saiga 308
6) M1A1 from Springfield (AKA M14)
7) Arsenal Cetme/G3 clones.

How do they compare to each other in terms of accuracy? I understand that, chances are, the PTR-91 is the most accurate out of those. But how does Saiga 308 or Vepr compares to them?

Thank you very much

All of those can be expected to do about 1.5MOA. The Saiga 308 is probably the best value.

Yes

And the AR10's and M1A's will be the most accurate, but also the most expensive (unless you are throwing in a real HK). Also, the AR10's will be the easiest to mount a scope on.

Depending on your budget, and what you plan to use it for, that will determine a lot. If you give us a little more info, we would be better able to help you.

Thank you very much for your reply.
The intended use for the rifle (I hope) is a precision target shooting and, maybe, hunting.
I did not list AR-10 or FAL simply because I dislike them.

Also, I would rather not pay $1400 for a rifle:).
I am mostly interested in:
1) Vepr 308.
2) Saiga
3) ROMAK
4) PTR-91 and other G3 clones
5) M1A1 (M14)
6) Yugo M76

I am not a professional sharpshooter, for me, it is more issue of fun and training. I intend to shoot military surplus ammo (I know that SVD for example was designed for special ammo). I know that as far as price goes, it is pretty much:
1) Saiga
2) Vepr
3) US made G3 clones (arsenal)
4) V-51 G3 clone series
5) Romak
6) PTR 91
7) M14 (M1A1) and Yugo M76

The question is, how much difference in performace is between them for the money? I am partial to AK/Dragunov clones and the "rolling block systems".
For example, if rifle 1 costs $1400 and does 3 inch groups at 500 meters and
rifle 2 costs $300 and does 4 inch groups at 500m, obviously, I will go with Rifle 2. I know that Vepr, Saiga, Romak, M76 are very reliable, I also know that PTR-91 is also a good rifle, I heard different things about M14 for example, but I know that all of these rifles are pretty good in reliability department.
Basically, I need their approximate MOA.

Thank you very much for your help, and sorry if I am asking silly questions.
