Hello to all

I have been known to get a tad up on my soap box at times regarding many issues that can/will be spoken of here.

I am a professional gun trainer and work with civilians as well as some police people.

I do not intend to nor will I deliberately post materials that I believe are off base or will get anyone into deeper trouble than they may find themselves in, while Out and About.

Sometimes I can get a bit soap boxy, and am very opinionated in some areas.

Some of this comes from years in the business of guns, training and such, some is just due to the opinionated folks I had as trainers when I was much younger.

If anyone takes an issue with a particular post I may make, please feel free to state an arguement or PM me.

I am defiantely big enough to say, "hey, I stand corrected" if this is the case.

I am not too old to learn new things.

My arrival here is an accident. Went online looking for some info to chew on after getting some questions from a class of students a while back.

I got here as a result of that quest. Seemed like a great place, so I registered.

Hope to be able to help and not hinder.

With much respect to all those who are here.

Best

Haaaaaaaaaa

Well, I am enjoying the place so far. Managed to get a couple Pms already too

No, all things aside, I find this place very agreeable and the troops friendly

Truthfully, I was searching for some info and this site was at near the top of the list on a Google search and there was a reference to the item of interest.

So, I guess maybe that is FATE :) Idunno.

Welcome Snowy and thanks for the introduction...it is nice to have someone else on the West Coast.

We really try to keep it pretty civil around here and always welcome different training experiences

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I have not been on any Firearms type boards before.

A few of my customers frequent several of the forums and speak of rowdy engagements and that sort of thing, nice to see the civility.

I am a Moderator at a popular Diesel Pickup Board and generally know the ropes and understand the way it goes.

Anyone who owns a computer can be anything they want while hiding behind a computer screen.

I have been in the business long enough and there is enough written about me based on the company exposure that its easy to find my name in print on the net.

Cloud Mt. Armory will usually bring up some articles.

Our web site is very simple but gives us a presence and thats all thats needed.

Used to have a really fancy web site, but the "web master" took it upon himself to go into the Ozones with it without any athority and then try and bill me.

I fired him, cut the site down, then put together whats there myself.

Not worth bragging about but it works.

I will try to offer as much good materials as I can.

My time available online can vary a lot. Early morning 5-7 am is my relaxing with coffee and the net time :D

During the day, if im in the shop and it is slow, I do get bored and will hop in and see wasssup on the boards.

Today, I have some CCW classes that are scheduled, we shall see if the students show up.

We handle this stuff on a walk in basis. We have a private shooting range at the rural residence that will accomodate our pistol shotting needs.

Our actual CCW class does not require shooting (State does not require it) just a class that spans approximately 2 hours and covers.

Safe gun handling
Ammo types and why
Legal, Moral, ethical issues
Carry gear, the what, where, when, why stuff
Do I shoot or not
Dealing with Police and the aftermath.
Awareness, the green, yellow red conditions
Lethal vs. nonlethal choices and when/why
various thing such as Tazers (bug zappers), mace etc
Kubatons, flashlights (big ones) asps, knives
safe gun storage and such things as the biometric safes.
Children and guns (All children are Born with an incurable disease WHAT IS IT) ????
Rules of engagement when dealing with a routine traffic stop (you have been pulled over) how to properly interact with the officer.
Home security, the saferoom and all such stuff
Security in the car (Car jackings) Or camper/motorhome.

Obviously I can't do a complete writeup here, but this is a pretty good outline.

Nobody ever gets bored as I try to interject some humor from time to time to keep people interested and then I will get into the serious stuff.

Its an interesting time when we get 15-20 or more students and the questions and banter get going, makes for a very educational experience for all.

Did a class for a large group of fire/med folks here a while back.
Had to go do it at the firehouse and most of the class was in their turnouts ready at a moments notice to jump on the rigs and Hual tail.

We got all done and the last of the paperwork issued when the guys got tapped out. :)

Anyway, a little bit more about me.
Hope to become a regular and just blend into the group in due time.

Thanks again for the welcome.

OH BTW a PM is always welcome if anyone wants to chat off the main boards.
