I'm a Smith & Wesson guy, but from time to time something else catches my eye. In this case it was a pair of Colt Officers Models. 1959 Colt Officers Model Match, in 38 Special. It's been fired a few times, but I don't think it too many times. The lockup and timing are just like brand new. The cylinder closes with a nice solid "snick." There is a very slight finish wear at the muzzle and one small spot on the cylinder, probably from resting on a shelf or in a drawer. The other one I tried to ignore, but a few days later it was still there. This one is a Colt Officers Model Target, in 22 LR, from 1947. I gave up and put it on layaway. It's not quite as nice as the 38. The grips are wrong I'm told, but still a nice set of grips to have. There are a couple of blue wear spots, but anything that looks like wear in the picture is the result of poor lighting, and poor photography. Again, lockup and timing are spot on.
