A Question For FFLs

I posted pics of the gun here, a S&W Performance Center 629 , limited production of 200 for Zanders. I'm going to the pawn shop tomorrow to go over the events with the owner.

Just met with the son. Made a straight across swap with him. The guy was so happy he came to tears talking about his dad opening it up at Christmas. Still PO'd at the shop but I'm glad I could help the guy out. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

I was hoping it would have come out like that, and not the way I could have imagined.

And good on you for not just telling him to pound sand. You could have. Maybe should have. But you didn’t. Instead, you reunited a man with the history of his family and memories of his father. Maybe Mom never knew how much they meant.

Now, just because your house didn’t get tossed, or you didn’t get shot in your truck and the pistol stolen, doesn’t mean everything turned out alright.
It may have been for the best, but that was NOT how the shop handled it! Because both those thing could have happened, and still could if the nice and completely thankful buyer has unscrupulous friends he tells the remarkable story to.

I don’t think it will end that way, but I wouldn’t have to even think about it, had he conducted his business with professionalism and safety.

Still, it’s kinda nice when there’s a happy ending. There’s just not a lot of those around lately.
So, well done, @B_Li_Ber_Tar_Ian!
Keep up God’s good works!
