A sad story of a 1903 springfield.

I had the chance to visit the Springfield Armory in Springfield, Mass. It was a sad place because they have hundreds of guns like the 1911 National Match and others that are stored for safe keeping. I asked if I got just one for being a good attentive visitor. They didn’t even giggle. I was able to take some great photos of the Peterson device and other variations of the 1903. I almost missed my plane I didn’t want to leave. If you get a chance to go, you should.

I like it!!! Good job soldier. Be sure to get us a range report when you sight it in.

Here's a couple of pics of a few of my 03s. With Indepenence Day coming up I thought maybe you might like these.
The pair of 03s with the scopes I built from scratch. The pair of 03s with the iron sights I rescued from the pound (pawn shop) that were bubba'ed. And the single 03 is an original scoped national match Springfield 1903.
Bona petite'
