I have the chance to buy a Tristar C-100 for $350. It is a face-to-face deal, so obviously used. Is that a decent price? He said, "It has seen perhaps 100-150 rounds of factory ammo with no malfunctions and still looks new. This is the two-tone, allow frame model."

They sell them for 329 new at academy.

They also sell the T120 full size for the same price.

I'd say no.

Ah! I did not know that.

That's why forum site, like this place, is a great resource. :)

I bought a used one, all black, on GB last month and have less than $300 in it after the shipping and transfer. I would offer $250.

They are great shooting hanguns. I have two C-100's and a Stingray-C. All have been flawless in operation so far.

He lowered his price to $300. I think I could live with that. $30 less than new, but then new will add 7.6% in taxes.

If you like it that is a fair price. The prices on these guns are creeping upward and it seems that some models are a little harder to find at different times. They may not make all models all the time.

I have a CZ 75B and three TriStars and consider them of equal quality and reliability. I'm sure that re-sale would be higher for the CZ but I tend to buy guns to shoot, not sell.

I bought one last year and paid 329$+ fee's I think its worth every penny and then some for 350$ he's just trying to get his money back ... 300$ is more like it ,they are very functional and a good value.

I actually decided to pass on it. I have other things I really need to save up for and don't really need it.

I know you passed on it but for future reference, the C100 and L120 are both awesome guns. I also own CZ's and can tell you that so far, the Tristar guns are not quite as nice as the actual CZ's but the price difference makes up for that.

The C100 is a lot of gun for the $325-350 new price tag. Same with the L120.

Well, . . . here's the deal. I really need to keep my money saved for an eventual car purchase [downpayment, that is]. Right now, I have 3 CZ pistols and really don't need the Tristar. I thought about it as "a trunk gun", but again, . . . . . .

I may still meet with the guy to see it. The thing is, . . . I know me, and I will probably want to turn around and purchase Cajun Gun Works upgrades for it, . . . and that's more money away from the "car downpayment". And it also defeats the idea of "a trunk gun".

I'm not a collector of pistols. I have certain uses and they are pretty specific. The Tristar is basically the size of the P-07, so I kinda have that size covered. Who knows, though. I may still get it. :uhoh:
