Yep its true. What is it? The annual Sixgunner.com NorEaster (NorEaster 2003) When is it? April 5 & 6 2003. Where? Wicens Farm Range in Furlong PA.
(10 minutes from Doylestown PA in Bucks Cty)
Details:
This shoot came about on the sixgunner.com web site forum as a way for all of us in this part of the country to get together and meet as well as shoot together. And show off all our neat toys. Since I have been spending an equal amount of time here as well as on sixgunner Myself and Joe Wicen (Bazzokka Joe on THR) who run these weekend shoots have desided to open it up to the High Roaders as well. The more the merrier. We always have a blast.
This a weekend of shooting and eating as well as a whole lot of talking and storytelling about shooting. We have 1/2 of a private range with distances out to 50 yards as well as a 100 yard range. Shooting is from 9-5 on saturday and 10-5 on sunday. The mwajority of the guns will be revolvers of all types especially old timers but modern as well. Lever guns and single shots will be well represented as well. Assult type rifles unfortunel;ately are not allowed due to range policies.
Camping is avaiable on the property and is in fact encouraged water and ewlectricity will be avaiable as well as bathroom facilities. We generally have a few casual competitions including a man on man and a 100 yard sixgun match (This is the PCM Menorial shoot in honor of Lt Peter C Martin NYFD - one of our own who we lost on 9/11 - It is a 100 yards range Steel gong type targets, any sixgun, any barrel length, any caliber, IRON SIGHTS ONLY
10 shots most hits wins) there will be 22 shooting as well.
Expencies:
These are kept to a minumum there is a $15 per person per day fee this covers range fees and food for the weekend (lunch and dinner) As well as beverages
and coffee. Food generally is simple fare either stew or chilly made with liberal amounts of venision. but you may bring any specialities you wish to add to the party(One mans widw occosally sends him with a few loves of homemade bread, another brought some wild boar sausage well you get the idea)
Well thats the jist of it. Everybody is welcome to attend. I hope some of you can make it.
Photo below is from one of our 2001 Noreasters (we had 2 that year)

And pray tell,

Why didn't this type of event happen when I was stationed at NADC Warminster?

Maybe someone will pick up the idea and make a run for it in the pacific northwest.
