So as someone who recently purchased an AAC suppressor I'm alittle concerned that the AAC website seems to be gone.. are they still in business?

Great.. so I have a suppressor with no warranty. I like PSA, maybe they'll step up and take over?

Maybe, and people would definitely appreciate it, but they certainly have no obligation to. This was a bankruptcy auction purchase, not the free market sale of one company to another that often contain clauses for supporting legacy products. At this time, there is no factory support or warranty for any product manufactured by Remington or other companies under the bankrupt ROC entity.

Fortunately, aside from the mounting system, the AAC rifle cans are very solid critters. Occasionally core welds break, but most of the time people don't even know about it because it's still contained within the tube. Otherwise, they really don't have issues that aren't directly attributable to the mount or the mount itself, which is something that can be changed if you desire to later on. In the mean time, just make sure it doesn't get loose and cause a baffle or cap strike.

Well I did have what I would call a possible baffle strike.. which is one reason I'm concerned going forward. I've posted this elsewhere but ill repost a picture or two. I've continued to shoot it with no issues. Is it possible to get suppressor repaired by a third party legally? It would be worth it given the process of buying a new one in this country. 20201111_145158.jpg 20201111_145123.jpg

Yes, you can have it repaired. Mackiv actually does that kind of work. And from the photos I have seen on various forums, he does a truly exceptional job. I saw a post once on a can that had been virtually destroyed. The repair basically just salvaged a 2" section otube that had the engraved portion of the old can and built a whole new can the same size and shape around that.
From personal experience, I had machiv do some work on a couple of my form 1 cans and have been very pleased.

Thats awesome, thanks! Wonder if it would be possible to convert my AAC to something other than a trash 51t mount. I like the can other than that.

I have 5 cans made by @MachIVshooter, who has already replied to your thread. I haven't had a can reworked by him but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for such work.

All but 2 of the cans pictured below were made by him (third from right is an AAC TiRant).
