So I just bought Wolff Competition springs: lower power striker and safety springs, and higher power trigger spring. I also bought 3.5lb connector.

What can I expect? How many pounds of trigger pull roughly? How about reliability with hard primers?

Anyone here has experience with shooting setup like that?
Would you recommend it for a home defense, CCW gun?

Thanks!

I expect you will get about a 3 lb pull. Pull will be longer than stock and less stacky. More like a short DA. Polish the connector and trigger bar contact areas. Do not get silly with the cruciform that engages the striker, people doing "trigger jobs" sometimes round them over when "polishing" resulting in burst-fire Glocky. Since you've got the striker spring out already clean the heck out of the channel, use a .22 bore brush, I also found a way to get some 1500 grit sandpaper up in there. If the striker's travel path is dirty you will feel it in the trigger. Leave the striker unlubed, lube the contact areas of everything else. I also use something like TW-25b on the pin that goes through the trigger, everything as smooth as possible.

I don't carry reduced springs for anything serious. My carry and game Glock has a stock striker spring, heavy trigger spring, and a Ghost Rocket #5 connector, mainly for the overtravel stop. Pull is #5.5 and crisp. I sometimes prefer it to my #2.5 G34 that I play games with.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with anything other than a standard Ghost 3.5 connector. During the installation, you should do a "$0.25 trigger job" that involves polishing specific contact points on the trigger group components. Do a Google search on the term in quotes and you should have no trouble finding the instructions, including photos. I did this to my Glock 19 and my Glock 22 and there's a day vs. night difference.

Deanimator hit it straight ... The 3.5 connector will make a huge difference, then the .25 cent trigger job makes it smooth.
