About to tackle the 5.45 saiga conversion.

About a month ago I bought a saiga rifle in 5.45x39mm

I am now planning to tackle the conversion but am a little wary.
I am not that much of a handy man and I hope I dont bog it up.
Any tips or pointers?

I am only doing the pistolgrip/stock and trigger conversion.

I don't have a vice or anything am I

Instead of vice, I built a little jig with some scrap wood and secured it to my bench with a couple vise grips, worked great.

Just go slow and don't do anything that doesn't make mechanical sense, you'll be just fine.

Sharp drill bits for the spot welds. Slow speed,good pressure and oil.

I got a cobalt bit, oil it up a bit?

I did a Saiga .223 conversion a while back. You are welcome to read through my write-up. Others have found it helpful.
