This has always been a major problem with me... when you've got a little extra saved away, and want to get something gun-related, do you opt for more accessories or go all-out and get a new gun? What sorts of accessories do you buy (optics, mounts, stocks, barrels, etc.)?

Just curious... :)

For the record, I've got three scopes, two optics mounts, and a sling for an AK, but have (ironically) decided not to use them. :banghead:

I guess it's time for a new gun...:D

Well, when I was faced with a bunch of accessory choices (RSA trigger for a SAR-1 and a mag extension for my 870 vs. a whole new rifle), you rationalize that you'll just spend money on accessories and ammo, but eventually, you break down...I know I did, and now I have a 700 Mountain that I haven't even shot yet :).

"...I've got three scopes, two optics mounts, and a sling for an AK...decided not to use them..." That's good. Scopes don't belong on battle rifles. It just isn't right. A scope screws up the balance, doesn't make them shoot any better and it's just wrong. If you have enough 'little extra' to buy another firearm, that's the thing to do. But something you've never had or fired. Or something you've always wanted but afford. And don't hesitate or something bad will happen and you'll be back where you started.
