I just turned on the tv and the computer. The best defence show came was on. OK I try not to follow it and not looking I hear one of there guys calling a T/C in there latest show A "custom made just for him short sniper rifle". What!!! Looked like regular T/C with maybe a bullberry front grip. I thought they were made for us common hunters some 35 years ago. AND that the pistol gripped short barreled firearm was a pistol all these years. I learn something new ever day. I did turn it off after that garbage. I got my 5 minites of bs from them. Change the channel.

I'm completely unfamiliar with this firearm so I can't speak authoritativly on it's standard configuration verses his example but what I heard Rob say was he had this one built with an 8 inch barrel rather than the standard 10 inch barrel.

The context of this year's series is disaster preparedness/survival which some here have commented recently as total fantasy but you don't have to look very far to find people from all walks of life taking steps to prepare for a worse case scenario, regardless of how far fetched that might be.

The segment featuring the "sniper pistol" was short on complete explanation but from watching the previous several episodes, I believe he was trying to make the point that a rifle cartridge pistol frame weapon is highly practical for taking game while living out of a backpack and walking long distances. Much more protable than a full sized rifle. That's my take on the episode.

He should not be useing the short sniper rifle phrase for something is not even special or a short rifle. There are over 100 different calibers that can be bought for it and are a a very nice long range pistol period.

I made the misake of not paying attention when the tv came on and when heard not say ( custom short sniper rifle ) I had to look up to see the custom. Haaaa Stupid me.

Out of all the gun shows that come on now, the ones on the Outdoor channel on Wednesday are the best I think. Best Defence stretches it usually, but hey... Anyway, I like Shooting USA the best.

On History, Top Shot is okay, but I can't figure how they get their "top shots". I have a certificate from the army that says I am "Top Shooter". How do I get a shot at it? I sent an email with my credentials and no reply? I know I can do well on most of those shoots. Fishy I tell 'ya.
