What MOA would one expect shooting a 1903(a3) springfield or M1 garand with a throat erosion of 5.5 and a muzzle wear of 5? This would be with regular CMP greek ammo.

TE is, up to a point, mostly irrelevent to basic military accuracy.... Muzzle wear is much more pertinent to accuracy.

A muzzle with 5 on the gauge is toast, pure and simple. A tomato stake.

I would buy a rifle with a 5 gauged muzzle ONLY if the barrel was a very rare manufacture date that I needed for a restoration that was not meant to be shot.... OR if I could get it dirt cheap and have the tube replaced.

Personally, if I'm looking for a shooter, I won't buy a rifle with a muzzle gauging more than 2 or 2.5.

Just me...

Best to all,
