Great video Trey! Yea throw low and trickle that combo I bet it would shrink some more.

I’m using 15.4 gr of AA#9 under 165 gr Gold Dot JHP for SD loads out of the 3.8” barreled XDM Elite. Should be moving around 1300 fps out of that gun, but I haven’t had an opportunity to run them over a chronograph yet. They group extremely well with low flash/recoil

I have some 165 gr Gold Dots... Hmm.

Hogdon lists max load of 15.0 grains in a Winchester case and going 1341 fps. I know many manuals and sources conflict, and if you're not getting any signs of overpressure, then you're likely fine. Curious as to what source you used for the 15.4 grains, or if you just kept going until you saw signs and then backed it off a bit.

I get very good accuracy from a Ruger Sucurity six with a 2.75" barrel with Accurate #9 and 158gr Hornady XTP's

Is this sort of accuracy common for those guns or 10mm in general?

I don't know. I know of very few people that actually test their pistols for bench rest accuracy, and none others that have done the same with the G29 or XDM Elite.

I'm sure there are others out there that like to know exactly what their defensive pistol is capable of at longer distances.

I have been told the now discontinued HS-7 was THE 10mm powder. I'm also told that AA#7 is also an excellent choice for the 10mm too.

It's good to hear that AA#9 does well, have you ever tried AA#7 in your 10mm Trey Veston? Do you always use the heavier bullets in your handloads? Thanks for the info and numbers, my reloading/shooting buddy will be interested in seeing your info with AA#9.

I have only been able to get accuracy like this from my 22 target pistol and my 357 Magnum Blackhawk. My 9mm M&P pistols are no where near that accurate. There is however a question of my ability to shoot them.

My Blackhawk is most accurate with .38 Spl loads. Like you, I am not too impressed with my M&P 9, but my M&P 40 is pretty darn good; with that one, I get decent groups with Accurate #7 and Longshot.

For off hand shooting at distance I can't shoot well enough to notice. Off a rest, it's about a 3" pistol at 25 yards with my hand loads. That seems fairly typical for service pistols from what little I could find about it.

I use AA9 with 180 grain XTP's a couple tenths below max.Last Sunday I shot my 10 at 30 yards and 5 shots were 1.250 ctc.Shooting off a sandbag with a Leupold Delta Point red dot.I plan on using that load next fall for deer.AA9 also works well in my 44 Magnums.

Here’s the 180 gr Extreme Plated bullets over Longshot @15 yds indoor out of my XDM Elite 10MM with a mix of off hand, one hand and fully supported aim.

There was 10 rounds of 165 gr Gold Dot JHP and AA#9 shot first and all stayed within the 9 ring.
