If you could make your own action movie what weapons would you give your protagonist? Also what scenes would you have where they use the weapon. You can also name who you would want to play the role.

My protagonist:

Main weapon: Ruger New Vaquero in .45LC. Something that is so awesome about SA revolvers.

Rifle- A Rem. 700 or Savage 10 in a McMillan A5 stock chambered in .260 remington. At one point in the movie the hero would have to shoot a guy from way outside an airports perimeter.

Maybe a scene with a TAR-21 going all out and taking out enemy forces. The list cold go on and on. But if he is stranded out in a jungle/forest maybe a Scout version M1A.
I would like to have Clint Eastwood play the role but he is getting so old. Liev Scheiber would be pretty good I think. Christian Bale is in just too many movies.

** I would also like to see a scene where the hero is stuck with just a .22lr plinker and navigates his way through a nearly deserted town taking down enemies with just headshots.

A Glock 7.

And to really throw people for a loop I would give the bad guy a Glock 3. The Glock 3 is made of an even more fragile material, maybe powdered soap. And it costs TWO months salary.

Main Handgun: Magnum Research BFR 45-70
Main Rifle: FN FAL .308

And for a backup handgun I'd give em a Taurus Judge in .410, and maybe a scene with a Walther G22.

I was thinking in my movie it would be set in America after SHTF. So the rifle would be a scavenged F-Class rifle from a safe in a house. The TAR's could be from Israeli troops sent to the US to restore order, or from a villain's mercs who is trying to rise to power in a crippled US.

** I also like the concept of the Judge. All the action movies use the same weapons these days so I think it would be cool to go with something different.

The pistol would be a tricked out Tokarev with new sights, a light mounted on a rail, everything. For the rifle a Ruger 77 mkII with the boat paddle stock.

Musket dominated warfare featuring combatants armed to the teeth with the 0.75 calibre Land Pattern Musket, or Brown Bess.

A scene where the protagonist and enemies are fighting with muzzleloaders would be kinda interesting. In a way, comical, (if set in modern times.) I think it would eventually end in the bad guys getting bayoneted.
