I tried the Pedersoli Kentucky for a bit and never could get use to the wonders of a flint lock pistol. Nice but just not for me. So, today I took it with me to the Winter Nationals here in Phoenix.

I went into the same tent were I bought my Crocket and the guy asked if I wanted to trade for the Pedersoli. I found a nice looking William Parker with polished barrel in .50 and made what I think is a decent trade. Considering I was probably never going to shoot the Pedersoli again, anything I walked away with was a good trade.

Now this pistol I love. Groups well with .490 and .015 patch as well as .495 and the same patch. My Lee molds burned out while casting so I ordered a new Lyman .490 mold from Natchess and it should be here by the weekend. I'll go back out and do some more testing.

Pictures to follow.

Has anyone here shot enough lead at 25, 50, and 75 yards to be able to say how THEIR BP pistol works at various powder-loads and balls?? I just got me Traditions .50 flint-lock and want a place to reckon my shots will land. Thanks.
