I have a 10/22 Takedown with a Bug Buster scope mounted up top on the Ruger supplied mount. The scope is 9.8" long.

For some reason I have the itch to add a*laser sight*to my Takedown and bought one though it has not yet arrived. The*laser sight*is 4.75" inches long.

I'm looking for ideas as to how to add the*laser sight*to the rifle while keeping the*Bug Buster*right where it is.

So far I'm thinking of replacing the*Ruger*mount*with one of those long, multi-slot mounts and moving theBug*Buster*towards the back of the extended mount..

Next I would put the*laser sight*in an offset mount and attach it towards the front and side of the extended mount.

Do you think this would work okay?*

Is there a better way? I'm all ears.

Thanks

"...how to add the*laser sight*..." You'd need a rail. One of those long, multi-slot mounts. Don't think it'll work having 2 sights on one rail though.

I rigged this 22 up for my Father so he could get rid of the rabbits eating my Mothers flowers at night.

Jmorris, the idea is great but the scope I have is a very compact Bug Buster and there isn't any room on the scope to add this kind of mount.

I'm thinking of just removing the scope altogether and putting the laser and just the laser on that Ruger scope rail. I really did want both on the rifle somehow though.

Well, how about you get a set of rings that has a rail on top and mount to it.

I have QD rings on the scope and they're great. Off and on and off and on they just hold zero every time.

But now I'm going to start looking for QD rings that have rails on top.

Thanks
