Hello all! I have been looking at the naa mini revolvers. I have located a black widow with the 22 magnum cylinder. Can I acquire and add a 22 lr cylinder later? Are they "drop in" or do they require timing? I see them for sale on ebay.

Thanks

I don't have a Black Widow but my NAA takes either cylinder without any troubles. If the gun has both cylinders sized for it, I haven't seen trouble reports. There's an NAA forum that probably has all kinds of answers.

Mine was sold with both cylinders so I guess it was tuned before sales at the factory.

I think that Ranger II looks rather nifty. Its break top! Its a remake / redesign of an older discontinued Ranger I. It might be something to look at.

I picked up a Ranger II a couple of days ago in the new version longer barrel.I called them asking about buying a 22lr.cylinder and they said it would have to be sent in and timed with a $100 dollars as mention in the post above. This model gives the bullet it a little more twist and a slightly higher speed for accuracy is my guess.Haven’t seen many of these for sale yet but maybe they are just starting up production. 7860B741-5B8A-42FF-AF33-EB1B19297686.jpeg 79E70F3A-7D49-4E84-8C54-6A612B3F91C2.jpeg
Didn’t really need another gun but it sure does look neat and is fun to hold and fiddle with.So I really did need it after all.Impulse buy got the best of me.

Nifty! That’s the version I was looking at!

If you have the mag version you may not need the LR cylinder. Others have suggested that you can cut off the head of a mag cartridge and slip the LR (or short etc) into the mag case. I tried it and it works. I learned the hard way not to shorten the mag case but just cut off the head only. Don't know about accuracy - research the naa site for more info.

That is an interesting idea.

Can you get the LR brass out and use the magnum brass more than once?
