I could use some advice here...
Issue: Newer S&W 4566TSW, [3rd generation] came with Novak lo-mount fixed 3-dot sights. Without going into the whole argument of why you'd want to switch to adjustables...I want to switch.
I've got an S&W 5906TSW that came with the adjustable rear sight...which is excellent, and I shoot very well with it. So, I thought I'd order the same rear sight, which looked like a PSI. Ordered it, arrived, and the thing wouldn't fit. We're not talking "snug," it wouldn't fit, and I am not going to try and force it.
Next step, ordered Millett front and rear. They fit the dovetails, but are much higher, and the rear sight barely covers the spring retention plate below it. In other words, I can dial in the accuracy, but it sure is ugly! And much higher, scraping the holster a bit...
Looking back to the PSI adjustable...instructions and sales guy both said no smithing was needed, and it should fit...this would be my preferred setup. Did I perhaps just get the wrong size in the right packaging?
Any suggestions or experiences with this setup would be appreciated.
