I need to adjust the trigger on my new Savage 22 Hornet with the Accutrigger. My gunsmith is out sick and will be for several weeks. I feel like an absolute dunce when it comes to working on guns. But, am willing to give it a try. They say the Accutrigger is easy to adjust. Do folks out there have experience with these triggers and is there any special advice you can give me? Any pitfalls I should watch for? The manual comes with instructions, but such instructions are always incomplete. Any help will be appreciated.

The rifle should have come with a special tool for adjusting the trigger.
Remove the action from the stock.
Trigger adjustment screw will be at the rear of the action (under the rear tang).
Turn the screw counter-clockwise to reduce the pull, clockwise to increase the pull.
That should be all there is to it.

NOTE: that's how the adjustment works in my Savage VLP and American Classic.

Hey Fellow Sniper, The adjustment was as simple as you said it would be. It feels perfect now. Can't wait to try it at the range and p-dogs later. Thanks for the support. TOM
