Advantage Arms .22 Conversion Kits, how accurate?

I read on their website that AACK owners typically get 2" groups at 25 yds. Is this an accurate description of the kit's potential? I'm looking to top off my G17 with a .22 conversion kit. Ammo's just too expensive these days....

I have a CZ Kadet kit that's scary accurate, and I'm hoping the AACK doesn't give up too much to the CZ in terms of accuracy. From everything I've read, however, the AACK is the most reliable kit for Glocks, and that ain't nothin'. Still, I'd like something more than "combat accurate" if I'm to drop two and a half bills on it.

I have one for my Glock 19, and it's OK, but the $250 bucks or so is better spent towards buying a Ruger MKII...IMHO, of course...

Really? Is it simply because it's a whole 'nuther gun, or is the Mk II that much more accurate?

I already have two other .22's, both of which are plenty accurate (Sig Trailside Comp, CZ Kadet). Had a 22/45 topped with an Ultradot, but traded that away for a Colt. I was thinking to get the AACK to have more (read: cheaper) trigger time with my Glocks (my IPSC guns).

Was the AACK really that underwhelming?

I had that kit for my Glock 22, and I never benched it for serious accuracy, it could shoot as well as I could. My main complaint was that it spat hot fragments onto my hands when I shot it. I started wearing shooting gloves.

I now have a Ciener kit on my Kimber 1911 which I very much prefer.

A bit of both, actually...

I have a Trailside as well, and find that my four (4) MKII's are much more fun to shoot, and are as accurate if not more so than the Trailside. The AA conversion is about the same price as a MKII, so why not get the best .22 you can for the money...

I've become a rimfire fan after 30 years of shooting nothing but centerfire pieces. The Rugers are my favorite by far...

I've been looking for the same info you are - accuracy off a bench of an Accurate Arms Glock kit.

I also want to know if the "Target" kit is mechanically different/more accurate than the "LE" version.

I also want to know if the slide of the "Target" kit is lighter than the "LE" 17-22 kit.

Maybe someone here with an AA kit can burn a few rounds off the bench and tell us what he finds.

A bit of both, actually...

But don't forget the value in training with your carry piece -- same holster, same ergonomics of controls, same grip, same trigger, etc.
