If any of you out there are serious about getting ur .36''s reamed over groove diameter then I'd be happy to forward you the gunsmiths information that is able to do .36 cal's and has the necessary equipment. I did my research on this gun particular Smith and have heard nothing but positive reviews as he's also well known. I don't want to post his info without his consent, but I'll ask him for anyone who's interested in wanting to contact him.
Call me crazy but I would find it odd that a gunsmith would not want his contact info posted so that customers can give him some business. Unless someone is doing something illegal, dangerous or immoral in their business practices then the vast majority of businessmen actually pay for advertising. And, it would not hurt to let us know what you were quoted to get the work done.
Mizar (above) was right on target with his suggestion that if a "gunsmith" doesn't have milling equipment then run away. These might be the "gunsmiths" who typically only swap out parts made elsewhere to repair a firearm. A gunsmith with milling equipment should be able to get the precise reamer bit for $30 if they are in-fact well versed and connected to the industry that supplies such equipment. For a gunsmith with milling know-how/equipment it should be child's play to do a simple reaming job....they can do it in their sleep. Those who do not want the job either are too busy with more exciting thing to do or probably don't have the proper equipment to do "gunsmithing". This is NOT complex/complicated and it should cost $100 or less to have the service performed.
