I have a Kimber Gold Match I .45ACP that I am in the process of customizing and I need some advice.

I want to replace the sights. It currently has Heinie Straight 8 Night Sights, but whoever installed them did so poorly and marred the heck out of the sides of the rear sight. I'd like to find a 3 dot replacement, but the Gold Match is cut for the adjustable Kimber sights and not the standard sights. Anyone know anyone other than heinie straight 8's that will fit? Preferably in 3 dot night sights?

I want to get the front strap checkered. I'm leaning towards 30 lpi, but I'm open to suggestions on another lpi. Also, does anyone have a suggestion where I can get it done cheaply and correctly or advice where to stay away from?

Lastly, I want to replace the S&A magwell the previous owner had on it with an arched magwell, also one-piece that includes mainspring housing. I'm leaning towards the $80 Kimber brand arched magwells. Any advice?

It originated as Stainless, but it has since been refinished in Black with a powder coat (?) finish which is slowly wearing off. I'm probably going to get the Birdsong Black-T finish due to the fact it does not need lubrication. Is this a good idea? Any advice?

Thanks, as always.

just put a smith and alexander extended magwell on my stainless target II, had to do some fitting for the safety but was real easy. Also put some alumagrips on it to add some unneeded weight for the 9mm
