AE M1 Garand bullet?

Is the long nose, flat tip 150 gr FMJ bullet used by Federal to load the American Eagle M1 Garand .30-06 available as a component? Thanks!

I'd guess that Federal would use Speer bullets. Speer does not list any 150 FMJ components.

I think its a much better bullet than the typical 7.62 NATO projectiles on the market.

Isn't a flat point. It's a spitzer.
Federal loads a flat based and a BT FMJ. Hornady makes a 150 FMJBT. There are HPBT's too. Nobody appears to be making plain flat based 150 FMJ's.

You can buy 150 gr flat based FMJ at www.wideners.com. Price is 110 for 500. I've used them in my M1.

The bullet has a small flat tip, as opposed to the almost needle point on the "normal" AE .30-06 FMJ.

The new manufacture M2 bullets at Wideners look interesting.
