My neighbor told me that her cousin swallowed a half-dozen .22 cartridges when he was a kid.

The dog chewed it, meaning there might be slivers/flakes still in there. In any event, whatever happened in some neighbor's cousins' childhood, if she were my dog, I'd at least call the vet for advice.

Um, yeah. I was just relating a humorous anecdote involving swallowing bullets, not offering medical advice.
