So a few months back I made a post about a g17 vs a cz 75 well I bought the cz and shot it..and shot it ....And much to my confusion I aiming low, like really low, like looking at the top of the slide when I would aim. I know the grip angle of the glock is unique but DARN it shouldn't leave me with that bad a habbit!:banghead: So my cz found its new home in its box in my sock drawer and I went on with my life a sad sad chubby man :( .....Fast forward to when I run out socks and decide to shoot the cz again one handed point shoot not expecting much, yet I leave a group better then I have with anything smaller than a Mauser. I look at the way I'm holding the gun and my thumb is touching my middle finger. Turns out my thumb was resting on the "shelf" at the top of the cz factory grips forcing my aim down when holding the gun with 2 hands and correcting for this I held it at a weird angle which opened my groups way up. So long story short I'm buying the anatomic/highpower knockoff grips for a pistol that doesn't feel like I shoved a boomerang made of bricks in my pants and life is good :D

Moral of the story moronitude corrected love the cz

Another cause of low shooting is the squeezing of your pinky finger while pulling the trigger. I often see this in shooters who like to strangle the grip thinking that a tight grip will yield tight groups. The gun hand just needs to support the gun, and a relaxed hold actually gives better groups.

One thing I did that drastically tightened my groups was switching to a Weaver stance as opposed to an Isosceles. Not gonna argue the differences between them, but Weaver just seems to work better for me.

Pretty cool self correcting observation. Along with the "run outa socks" perspective (good things do happen) it's also often important to revisit an issue with fresh eyes.

I was fully expecting a front sight/rear sight/target alignment epiphany on this one.
