My grips came in the mail today. I think they look pretty sweet. Overall, very pleased. Heading to the range tomorrow to try 'em out....along with the new 6" GP100 I just got. Thought I would share some pics of the Ahrends.

I ordered the same set for a K-frame in moradillo and was hoping that the coloring would be a little more red. I may have to work up an alcohol-based dye and see if I can get mine to redden up a little more (I ordered them unfinished). Fit is very good though.

I always enjoy looking at other grips.

They look great. Let us know how they work. When I use the stock wood JM grips I am always adjusting my grip during a shot string. I need the grooves. How long did it take to get your grips after they were ordered?

Not long. I dropped my order and check in the mail on 10/30, and my grips arrived on 11/15.

I agree about the grooves. That is why I went with them. I liked the stock wooden jm's, but these Ahrends felt as though they were made for my hand.

Ahrends Grips

Ahrends makes such an incredible quality grip. If there is something in particular that you want, such as a lot of red, you can call Kim and ask for that. He is great at working with folks and trying to get as close to what you want as possible. Also, do a search on eBay or GunBroker for Ahrends. That way you can see the actual grip you would be getting.

Very happy with a set of walnut retro targets I got for a K frame. Next time I buy a Smith I'll likely send Ahrends a check before I even take it to the range.

Nice, love the way the grain matches up in the front.

I have the retro targets on a K frame. I ordered unfinished walnut, and oiled them.
I think I'll get the Moradillo for my 624 and let them do the oiling. It looks good with the stainless.
I can always add a few coats of my own.
