Air Rifle Scope ???

Sorta new to Air Guns, use to shoot a pump up Crosman, Benjamin, and Sheridan Silver Streak as a kid. But that has been along time ago. I am looking at RWS Model 34 in 22 Cal. What type of scope would You recommend for informal backyard with friends target shooting mainly. But maybe a little small game hunting also. I don't have any knowledge at all on Air Rifle Scopes. And if I buy a scope, I want to buy a good quality scope. I was all so thinking about a Variable Scope in 3X9 or 4X12. What do you all think would be best for me. Thanks in advance for any help.

I've been happy with a Hawke 2-7x32 w/a AO.

At one point WalMart carries Center Point airgun scope which is pretty well built and cheap.

I always say this but it's worth repeating. Always buy an airgun scope from someone with a 30 days no questions asked return policy.

I believe Pyramyd Air, Air Gun Depot and Amazon have guaranteed return policies. When you receive your scope, quickly sight it in and shoot at least 500 pellets to test your scope within the 30 days.

I have springers that have eaten Leupold, Hawke and every bundled scope I bought. All scopes need to be tested when it comes to springers.

Well guys the deal on the Air Rifle fell thru. It appears that the guy that was trying to sell me the Air Rifle, did not own it. And did not have any right to sell it to me. Thank goodness, I did not give him any money or take possession of the Air Rifle. The Police are now involved. And they asked me for a statement as to what happened. But thanks for the help and advice.
