Airsoft Suggestions

I want to get into Airsoft, but am totally confused by the different brands and models of Airsoft rifles. I want an electric rifle for under $100. What do you suggest. Thanks.

Saving another couple hundred. You can get an AEG for less then $100, but it will be nothing but headaches and problems. Finding a used one would be your best bet.

I used to play alot, the general consensus is get a Tokyo Marui AEG for your first. Sites like www.airsoftshop.com and other Hong Kong places have good prices.

Tokyo Marui are the most common starter AEGs but Star have made a couple of guns in the same price range (in addition to their other, more expensive models).

The Tokyo Marui FAMAS is pretty much the cheapest gun you can get that is suitable for skirmishing. It's $182 from Redwolf Airsoft, though I'm sure you can find a second hand one for less. Remember though, you'll need a battery, a charger, a face mask, and at least one hi-capacity magazine. You're probably looking at another $100 on top of the price of the gun.

If you can stomach paying nine dollars over 100, look into the UTG MP5. Internally it's a Marui clone and will take all Marui parts (gearboxes, springs, motors, gears, barrels...) and externally is mostly a Marui clone: The front sight/muzzle assembly is different.

For the price it's a great gun. Miles ahead of that LPEG junk you get at Wal Mart or at the flea market.
