Ajack 2.5 scope

I believe they were mounted on sniper rifles by the British during WW2. Probably not the only use, but I know the brand was used, and it fits the power range used for that purpose during the era.
 
I thought they were of German Origin.. Old German, like pre-WWII. I've seen Ajack scopes on old pre-war German sporting rifles and IIRC some of Germany's WWII sniper rifles had Ajack scopes.
 
You are right; it was a German scope often mounted on some German sniper rifles. Ajack was probably in business well before WW2, so it is possible some of them found there way onto some of their rifles as well in addition to some sporting rifles. I should have referred to my copy of With British Snipers to the Reich by Capt. C. Shore.
 
Swedish M41 sniper has an Ajack 4X.
