Damn MJ yours has to be externally the best looking M41B I think I've ever seen. That is a really, really nice piece. Did I mention my birthday is coming up ;)

Not sure if they saw any combat, but don't think so. Swedan was netural after all.

While they may have been neutral, (Neutrality Through Strength), they did have Swede troops and rifles in combat. Swede (Volunteer) units fought against the Russians during the winter war in Finland. The Swedes also provided a large number of rifles and lots of ammo to the Finns as well. (They have an SA marked on the receiver)

Some Swedes stayed and fought the Russians during the continuation war (during WWII). There were also more than a few Swedes in a Waffen SS unit made up from volunteers from that country.

I was wondering if any of the M41's made to Finland for the winter war.

I just recently bought a M41b from SAMCO as well. It is a 1900 obendorf, matching metal except the frot band, and the scope matches but the scope can and stock are mismatched. I am fortunate enough to live close to them and I was allowed to inspect it first. It was the best Obendorf left. The remaining Gustoffs are a little nicer and some still have matching wood, but I already own a model 96 Gustoff. They are all definately nicer then the one described from samco.

Does anyone know where I can get the correct two piece sling? SAMCO is out and does not expect any more in.

Thanks

Happy birthday

I've bee up from 4:30 AM Making ammo with the Privi 140g bullets. They are not as uniform as the SMK 140's 138.4g~141.7g avg. on ten samples.

Ok, pics of the M41B group and the CG 63 group.
MJ in the pic with the target look at your group and the pic of the target of my M41B. Very simular. Mine was 3 shots with the scope then with the scope still attached two shots with the open sights. Interesting.
