Ive only owned 5 AR's and 10 AK varient's so I may not be the right person to respond to this thread but here goes....
When I turned 18 I went straight to a nearby gunshop and bought a Norinco Mak90 with a milled receiver, 500 rounds, 5-30 rounders and a 100 round drum for $225... A year later I went into the military where for the first time in my life I shot an AR.... I bought a E.A. AR for $700, that was 10" to the right at 50 yards, and would not cycle a full 30 rounder without jamming! To say I was unimpressed is an understatment! I've owned several of both since then. Right now I have my original Mak90 and a Romanian, and I'm building my dream AR.
I'm in Alaska, so If I was to choose a weapon before going out to the woods I would have to ask myself this.... Am I going to shoot ground squirrels or grizzly bears, I think you know which I would choose for what...
