I'm thinking the "swords imported from Pakistan" was probably their interpretation of the old "Indiana Jones Khyber (sp?) Bowie" knife that was common at flea markets 15 years ago although I haven't been to a flea market in the last few years to know if they're still in circulation.

Every cheap POS $30 Ninja set or Viking broadsword is from Pakistan these days.
You can'r go to a show without seeing a couple thousand of them
