Ak pistol grip question

I decided to convert my saiga sporter after holding a wasr 10 yesterday. I'm thinking of getting the tapco fixed stock/fcg conversion from carolina shooters supply with the billet trig guard that you bolt the pistol grip to. Would it be weak or more fragile if I use the trigger guard pistol grip mount if I do end up having a pistol grip hole in the receiver?

I did this with my saiga. get a GOOD drill bit.. Russian steel is tough... my saiga trigger guard is solid!
