Hello all.

I have a Yugo SKS and a WASR 10/63. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good all around front sight adjustment tool that does both elevation and windage?

I have tried some cheap ones in the past and the elevation part is not very durable.

I have read that the Tapco one is a nice tool, but does not work with Yugo SKS rifles.

Thanks.

Of the standard types, the Tapco is the best.

The B Square is a little more awkward to use but works great.

Some AK's or SKS rifles have windage drums that are too large for the hole in most tools.
In that case, just drill the hole out to clear the drum.

Does the Tapco one fit the Yugo SKS front sights? I have read that the grenade launcher interferes with the windage adjustments with some sight adjusters.

I like the B Square the best. It will move the most stubborn sight barrel, and will also allow for more precise adjustments. You also dont have to take the tool off as you zero for windage. Once you get the windage in, you should take it off and then do the elevation, or you will notice a difference in POI.

My buddy lent me his Tapco AK/SKS front sight tool and it DOES NOT fit the Yugo SKS front sight for elevation.

It fits my WASR no problem.

Works on typical AK, SKS, and Saiga (with larger cylinder).

Don't own the Yugo, but I'd be willing to bet it will work. You might call and ask...

The cheap Chicom import works just fine. Use penetrating oil to loosen the front sight drum so its easier to move with the tool.

I've bent a couple of the Chinese tools, both the handle and the main body itself. Even when they do work, they are crude, and dont work very well. For the money wasted buying them, I'd have paid for the B Square.
