All brawn, no finesse... AES-10B (Romy RPK), Saiga 7.62 (patiently awaiting cosmetic surgery), and a Romy "G" (I no longer have that one).

This is after I added a little Tung Oil to the wood. This WASR 10 didn't look very good when I got it but then again, they never do. They do shoot very well though!

WASR-10 GP with a little sanding on the stock, and some minwax stain, then a light coat of tung oil. Metal refinished with flat black rustoleum high tem bbq piant (great stuff. dries in seconds, hard to make it run, good to 1400degF, cheap, durable, and looks good. hard to beat it!). Also added the ergo grip when I had it se up as my EBR, but left it on when I changed it back to the "traditional" look, as it's just so nice and comfy, and doesnt really detract from the traditional look much, as it's somewhat subtle. Shoots great, surprisingly accurate with cheapo Wolf ammo, no failures after about a 30rd break-in 4 years ago, no mag wobble, no cabted sights.Couldnt be happier with my "POS,Century monkeyed" AK clone.

Quick thread hijack...

Can someone please measure their AK wood buttstock for me? I ordered a K-VAR 'NATO' stock that seems a tad long.

I don't have wood buttstock handy, but I can tell you that the NATO length buttstocks are supposed to be longer than their Warsaw pact counterparts.

Unless I'm wearing a very thick coat, I much prefer the NATO length.
