I have lived in ne fl for about 55 years. When I was a kid I met this family and they invited me to go hunting with them in the Ocala National Forest. The Mom told me that when she was young they used to see wolves in the forest. That would have been around 1940's or so, before my time.
I have talked with game and fish personell and I have been told that people report all kinds of things to them - sightings, tracks, & sounds. I have been fortunate to see 4 different panthers. The first one was in Brevard county near the St. Johns river. I called it in and they didn't believe me. I never called them again and I never will.
