I've been looking across the Net at various broker sites, trying to find a good deal on a CZ 75B In Satin Nickle, Stainless, or Dualtone finish for a few days now. I find that many of them say "10 round magazines". Does this mean that these guns only accept 10 round magazines? If they accept higher capacity magazines, will they stick out the bottom of the gun?

CZ 75B guns are 15 round guns. The 10 round mags are either blocked or cut to limit the capacity. The 15 round mags fit flush to the bottom of the grip.

Take Care

newest CZ75b mags hold 16..MecGar is supposed to be the OEM for CZ..and the MecGar brand mags for CZ work great..

Your just finding guns that either shipped with just a 10 rounder before the AWB expired or where the dealer stripped out the 15 round mag to sell seperately. Don't worry, the regular 15 round mags will fit. You just may have to buy them seperately is all. Keep that in mind when you consider how good a deal any particular gun is.

I wont bother making two threads

Alright, I want to ask a question about the difference between CZ and Tanfolgio guns. I'm looking into getting a 9mm gun in either a CZ 75B or Tanfolgio. I was leaning toward a Satin Nickle CZ 75, but the dual-tone Tanfolgios can be found for cheaper.

Can anyone give me some information? Pros and cons with each?

The CZs and Tanfoglio (and Witness) guns are the same basic design with a lot of detail differences. They feel similar in your hand. Most parts are not interchangeable. Some mags are.

I've had good examples of both, and prefer the CZ -- but Witness is putting out some very nice guns, nowadays. Witness (EAA) customer service has a terrible reputation.

A very well deserved bad reputation!

"Unless the price of the 10rd guns was at least $40 cheaper than the 16rd guns I wouldn't buy one.
You might try Whittakers.

I'll second that

From what I've read, Tanfoglio has had more quality control issues in the past than CZ.

Factory 16 rd. mags are available from various sources, and CZ shooter Matthew Mink has developed a 19 rd. mag.

Pard, just so ya know. Tangfolio and EAA are copies of CZ's. Clones, if ya will. So ya can buy a look a like or the real deal. My advice...get real!

Check out the classified sections of www.CZShooters.com and www.CZForum.com You'll find deals to be had and folks ready and willin' to share their vast background regardin' these outstanding handguns!

When I bought my CZ-75, the salesman said that there were also 20 or 25-rounders available, though they're not flush-fit.

+1 the MecGar mags - very good quality.

One of the two 16-rounders that came with mine had a weakish spring - loaded ball ok, but had trouble feeding 1 out of 5 or so JHPs. A +%15 Wolff spring cured this but quick...

Thanks for all the replies. I've found a nice Satin Nickle CZ 75B at a gunshop (online) for a pretty good price.

One last question. I've seen Cabelas sell 15 and 30 round magazines for the CZ 75. Are these things any good?

CZUSA ships with 10 and 16 rounders. The 10 rounders go to places like CA and the boxes are marked 10 round mags. It's not fair to accuse a dealer of swapping out the mags unless you've seen the label on the box.

Even with the $10 shipping CDNN is hard to beat for mag prices.

I bought some 30 rounders for my CZ-75---THEY WERE GARBAGE!! They wouldn't even fit!!! I would stay far far away from them.

I've exchanged messages with a number of folks who bought CZ-75 mags from Cabelas. Most of them were VERY UNHAPPY with the mags.

CZ does make a factory 25 rounder (originally designed for the military CZ-75B that has full-auto capability.) That mag has a good reputation, but its more a novelty than a practical mag. It sticks out of the grip about 4"-5" and there is an obvious weight penalty, too. A mag with 25 rounds is really heavy, and I can change mags pretty quickly...

Alright, thanks for the information guys. If like really like the CZ75, I may knock the G20 down a notch and replace it with a CZ 97.
