I saw that CDNN Sports has the Ruger 9E on sale for $249.

I said to myself that if I saw a deal like that in the store I would most likely buy it.
Well this morning I pulled up my CDNN account, added the gun to my cart. Total was $254 and some change. I was about to click on the Place Order button when my coworker walked in and placed a FDE color Glock box on my desk in front of me. I opened the box and took the brand new, unfired Glock 19X from it.
I do have to say I really like the was it felt in my hand. I have been thinking of getting one, but now I know I’m .
I cleared my cart at CDNN and will put the $254 towards the 19x.

Did they change the grip or is it the same old thing?
I would say that the grip is like the Gen2 but with the texture of the Gen4. It has the shorter length of pull like the Gen4 and comes with the backstrap. I also like that it doesn’t have the cutout in the front of the grip like the Gen5 for pulling the magazine.

Cutting it close wasn't he?:D So you just have to wait a bit longer now. Somehow I just don't like the way any of the Glocks I have tried feel in my hand. Oh well somebody likes them.:)

Gunny I saw that and it looks like a great deal If that’s a decent gun.

I’ve been lusting for an M&P 2.0 5”. To me they just seem to be screaming at me. So I passed as I won’t be happy until I get it.

Is there a reason you prefer the Glock?

Good choice gunny! My only thought is, you should get the SR-9E too! I've already fallen for the Glock 19X, but one day must get the Ruger. Such a good gun at such a good price, and I believe it has quietly disappeared from their site in favor of the new Security 9, which I haven't seen in person yet. I am glad to hear you went for the 19X though. I hope you enjoy it greatly! I know I will.

To tell you the truth, I prefer the M&P. :)
I have a M&P 45 and a M&P 9. Been looking at the M&P 2.0

Well I did just buy the Security 9. And today I just gave my son a new Glock 17 Gen4 for his Glock 19 Gen3.
I like the 9E more then the SR9, I just hate that load indicator on the top of the slide. I’ve shot them both and like them, but they just don’t tickle me like the Glock 19X.
I have a few other pistols I plan to pick up this year, like a VP9, son says I need one. Maybe another FN.
I have the money for the 19X and the 9E, just don’t know if I really want the 9E. But then I might just get the ATI GI 1911A1.

The balance of the 9E is something I am getting used to. (I am used to all metal pistols.) It's still a great bargain.

A handall grip sleeve from Hogue helps customize the grip for me.

They are still in stock. For those that like a thumb safety on a striker, this is a hell of a deal. The Ruger also has a magazine disconnect.

Frog - I never liked holding Glocks either. It was a revelation to me when I finally shot one. For me at least, they shoot much better than they feel.
