Trigger pull of a Sigma fix

As for working on your own guns, make sure you know what you are doing and go ahead when it comes to simple things like smoothing and polishing and spring swaps and other reversible changes. Making any permanent modification to a gun, even if done by a gunsmith, is likely to effect warranty service.

exactly. if u read my post above detailing the mods i did on my sigma, u will see that nothing i did is irreversible. to start with, polishing the sear makes a world of difference by itself and yet, it wouldnt effect waranty service.

also, removing a spring, like i and make others have done, also would not void ur waranty, as long as ur smart enough to open up the gun and put the spring back in before u send it off to s&w for service. once the spring is back where it goes how are the folks at the s&w service department going to know it was ever removed at all?

this is the same reason i chose to remove/replace the spring and not permanantly alter them, unlike many folks on the boards. also, should u ever have to use ur gun in a defensive shooting having it permamantly modded could be used against u by the prosecution
