As you all know I'm continuing my Ruger leading quest. More on that later as Im about to the conclusion of that quest.
But today a very funny thing happened. Having determined a .360 boolit is what it takes to make my Ruger shoot without leading, I custom made a .360 boolit sizing die from an old 7/8" fine thread farm bolt.
Anyway I got it finished and it is producing .360 boolits just as planned. I have a 1 to 1 1/2" sizing lenght built into die. When I put the 2nd pan lubed boolit on the pusher and stroked the ram, the first boolit (still in die) shot out of the top of the die and landed on the reloading bench. Happens everytime!
So I was almost shot while sizing boolts!!!!
I may set up the chroni to check velocity!
