Can I use an alternate bullet in my KelTec P3AT? Someone said that some pistols that use 380 auto can also use 38 mm. I am new to the scene and any info along this line would be greatly appreciated.

No. No such thing as 38mm.

However, .380 ACP is also known in other countries as:
.380 Auto
9mm Browning
9mm Corto
9mm Court
9mm Kratak
9mm Kurz
9mm Scurt
9mm Short
9x17mm

They are all the same thing.

some riot guns are 38mm...

that would be quiet a squeeze for a p3at.

I've found a lot of brass marked "9mmBr", looks just like .380's to me. Is it?
I would say that its 9mm Browning after reading RC's post

In the title you say "ammo", in the post you say "bullet". Are you referring to ammo or bullets. If its bullets you are talking about, there are several options you could likely use when reloading for 380 cartridges. If it is ammo you are referring to, you need to stick with 380 only.
