I painted some plastic (er...I'm sorry, Tactical Polymer)gun furniture with ALuma-Hyde II about 24 hours ago, it's been sitting at room temperature since (well I hit it with a blow dryer for about 10 mins after it was painted) It still feels slightly sticky to the touch. Is it always going to feel like that, or give it another day or two to cure?

I think if you read the directions, you'll see its supposed to cure about a week. If you mess with it before it cures, it can get screwed up. After it cures, its tough stuff.

Let It Sit A Bit

I re-did a GI fiberglass M14 stock (sanded & filled in the cutout with Accraglas) and used flat black AlumaHyde II to finish it. Per the directions I let it sit untouched for 24 hours but didn't handle it for 2-3 days. It says it can take up to 7 days to cure, so I just let it languish for a week, but boy is it tough now. Looks like a million bucks in a subdued way...
