Having trouble embedding the video but here is the link:

So was looking for speedloaders to go with my first revolver and I came across this. A hybrid with the comfort and concealbility of a speed strips but still reloading a full cylinder in one go. Still won't beat a safariland or so varient in competition but for carry I really like it. In the comments the video maker says he is also the designer/Creator and he has no ability or desire to bring this to production and he made the video specifically so someone could copy his idea. What do you guys think of this? Any issues you see?

Pretty ingenious! I'm always wary of any speed-loader that applies a lot of sideways force to the cylinder, and this would appear to do so as you strip the rounds out of the loader and into the cylinder with the sideways pull.

 I like it .Whish I had one to see how it would hold up in real world use. Would like to know if they come in different dimensions for different revolvers or if it's a "one size fits all". Why the cut down Cylinder?

Why does it say US PAT. on the handle then? Or am I reading that wrong.

I saw the same thing and had the same question. I'm just going off the information that was in the comments on the YouTube page made by the person that posted the video. I'll see if I can get an email or something their way and clairify before I get too excited.

This is just a prototype and proof of concept. The "revolver" is a fake. From what I can tell the one in the video is the only one made to date so no, there are no other sizes...yet.

So I guess he did have a patent for it #US4862622A. Looks like from all the way back in 88, this has been floating around in somebody's head before I was even born. Patent is expired, fee related it says. I also found quite a few other forums discussing this when I went digging after the patent so we aren't the only ones talking about this. A good point was brought up about dirt or sand getting into the joints and locking it up.

The same guy who patend it in '88 put up this video 30 years later? If it's been around this long without going mainstream, then there's a reason. It looks spendy to produce for a niche market could be one reason.

That is the stupidist thing I have seen in a very long time. I can hear Jerry Miculek laughing all the way from Louisiana. It is pretty funny. Just wow, notice how quickly and effortlessly he lines the rounds up with the cylinder. Just drops right in don't it? Whoever produced that music needs to be flogged too. It's that stuff you listen to on the phone when they put you on hold for 30 min. Have Mercy!

That loader is definitely interesting. I wonder how long it would last or how many reloads it would perform before breaking?

Lyle Wyatt, thank you for that info on the SKS stripper clip. I will have to try that out. I tried Bianchi Speed Strips and didn’t care for them. Your idea seems like it would be a better option.

There is absolutely no way that thing will maintain precise alignment over time. The guy in the video had a brand new one and he was struggling to line the rounds up and it will just get looser and looser. Moon clips never fail unless some goober steps on it. Mr. Wyatt's suggestion of SKS stripper clips works pretty well with practice. And British Enfield clips will accept .44 Spl rounds also if you're into the big bore thang like me.

If it was available in 1960 I bet it would have seen some use by off duty cops or detectives etc. With plastics today I bet it could be made fairly cheap but very small market.

Basically need a speed strip on a bike chain with a spring.

Good point...I missed that. Could be the guys uncoordinated or the prototype needs refinement.
