Real quick, I'm new to this forum, sort of. My fiance is a long time member here, goes by n003k, and he talks about some discussions on here. I am a former gun "hater" who is now, obviously, not. I "hated" them because I was uneducated and now that I know how they work and have experience with some, I am much more comfortable with guns in general and am starting to get very interested.
Anyway, as for the topic, n003k recently bought a revolver for me to use at the range, just a little thing, a .22, the only markings on it being Germany and .22LR. I did a search hoping to find the make and model and it lead me to here where someone had what sounded like the same revolver and couldn't figure out what it was. Anyway, the thing was COVERED in cosmoline, so I was obviously going to clean it. After removing the grips to clean under those as well, I saw "Herbert Schmidt" written on it. Still not too sure of the model, but it definitely cleared some of my curiosity! Moral of the story: if you're not sure, check under the grips!
