Am I the only one who sees calibers everywhere?

The number of the address of my favorite gun store is 357. Inevitably, someone drew in a decimal before the number years ago.

I once had a campus bike sticker that was #223. I got a permanent marker and put in the decimal point. :D

I worked in an auto parts store while in high school and was interested in engine building for a while (subscribed to Hot Rod magazine and all that). I saw engine displacements everywhere--283, 289, 302, 305, 327, 350, 351, 400, 427, 454, 500...

I think it's just the way the human brain works, to try to draw associations to the familiar with anything you see. Sort of like a numerical Rorschach test.

Calibers

I wonder how many gun safes or other locks have a combination comprised of some combination of .22, .38, .44 or .45. Our gun range was .45/70 and '73 for the year of the Peacekeeper for a long time.
