Just for fun I loaded some of the Lee 230grn TL .45 bullets I normally use in .45ACP in .45 Colt.
I guess I just wanted the aesthetics and old-time look of a round nose. My standard powder charge for .45 Colt is 6 grains of Red Dot with pretty much any bullet.
Well, I loaded up 50 and got out my 5.5" 2nd Gen Colt SAA just to see what would happen.
The load shot EXACTLY to point of aim and literally ate the center out of the target! I was amazed and delighted! This is as accurate as anything I own. If you're looking for the perfect .45 Colt load, I do suggest you give this one a try.
