American Ammo (Miami, FL) is the ONLY brand that would not function in my KP-90 Ruger (.45ACP).
Not to be confused with American Eagle Brand by Federal...good stuff
Buddy gave me part of a box of A-AMerc .38 spl...very inaccurate in his Mdl 10 Smith. Tried some in my cheapy RG-38 subby....all over the paper, and keyholes, too. Tried a cylinder full in my .357Vaquero, same result.
When we looked closely at a couple of rounds, we noticed the crimp looked, well...odd. pulled 5 apart, and "miked" them .353" diameter...too small for even 9mm Parabellum.
If you want good ammo at a reasonable price, try PMC (red & white box), Sellier & Bellot (couple of different color schemes) or Mag-tech. I have had good results with those 3 brands in .38/.357/.45ACP. Shooting buddy likes Mag-tech in his .45Colt caliber Vaquero.
